In this video, journalist Tegan Lawson from boatadvice.com.au heads out onto Pittwater to take the all new Seadoo Spark for a spin to see how this new and highly affordable personal watercraft performs on the water. Available in two engine configurations, both naturally aspirated with the base model powered by a Rotax 900 engine and the upgraded model by a Rotax 900 High Output engine, the Seadoo Spark is bright, funky and most of all fun. This boat review focussed on the top two models in the line-up both featuring the High Output engine.
Zipping about this semi open waterway on a hot summer day, Tegan is able to demonstrate the Seadoo specific iBR, intelligent braking system which is available on both the two and three seat models and brings the craft to a stop very quickly. The High Output engine performed well with a top speed over 80 kilometres per hour and is also ideal for towing watersports toys best performed on the three seat version.
The minimalist design of the Spark and purposeful light weight design delivered a fun hull capable of some exciting turns and spritely performance and ordering one is half the fun where you get to choose the colour and configuration yourself. With a low draft and comfortable slim seat, the Seadoo Spark tested by boatadvice is comfortable and easy to handle.
Boatadvice were very impressed with the Seadoo Spark and feel it adds a new dimension to personal watercraft creating a new market for owners looking for performance and affordability given the starting price of $7,800.
