The escape hatch. Maybe you don’t see a breakable glass opening on the underside of a boat much because it’s a worrisome feature. Every hard wave, every floating piece of flotsam and jetsam even at the pier. What’s that stain? 
Say this three times, “breakable glass, Breakable Glass, BREAKABLE GLASS!” NOoooo.
