Fantasia 35 Review, Cruising Sailboat, Long Term Live Aboard, Tiny House

Fantasia 35’s are excellent, live aboards, long distance cruisers for coastal or midshore adventures and tiny home’s on the water. They are the perfect solution for sailing with children, sailing with babies, sailing with dogs, and sailing on a budget. They are shoal draft cruisers with the ability to sail around the world. In this video I include short clips of the boat actually sailing on 3 points of sail close reach, beam reach and broad reach. Video is filmed on the St Lawrence River.

Wow, what a gorgeously salty, and cavernous heavy displacement cruiser. It seems way bigger than her LOA would lead one to believe, and it’s no surprise that this fine sailing vessel was imagined by Bruce Bingham, creator of the Flicka.

Oh, the workbench – how awesome is that – immediately reminded me of the Bristol Channel Cutter 28, by Lyle Hess, which I should have purchased 13 years ago, when I had the chance, but, I allowed ‘well-meaning’ types to talk me out of my hair brained / foolish idea, and have regretted it to this very day.

Having said that, I hope to redeem myself with a [used] 31-36 ft cruiser-racer purchase within the the next 18 months or so.

A 35′ boat with 630 sq ft of sail, and weighing 24,000 lbs is a dog, you will hit every storm in whatever ocean you are on, a sailboat is not a condo, if it doesn’t sail well it’s not a good sailboat.
