After a year’s market research in seven countries, Bavaria, Farr Yacht Design and Design Unlimited got their heads together and the Vision range is the result. Chris Beeson takes the 42 Vision out for a spin

Nigell Butlerrr says:

Jib overlap too small, pathetic,,,,,,

all these lockers ojn top, and if the boat inverts what a load of damage it will suffer.

Stephen Lediard says:

I like this guy he’s cool. But, I’m not really comvinced he likes this type of boat all that much. Sailing in hard North sea or Atlantic conditons is very different from summer sailing Med. Boats are made for what the market wants. The market is summer sailing Med.

George Kapllani says:

I think he may be wrong about the main sheet. The boat looks really well built. You can’t please over 6′ tall as well as 5’1″.

Shawn Defeudis says:

I’m in Massachusetts looking for a donated boat for a beginner. 25-33 foot? I have a yard donated for storage and fixing up.  Don’t have a mooring as yet.

Carmen Spano says:

Barca con i mobili dell’Ikea! Sembra un camper galleggiante!

panther105 says:

When you were rubbing your hands together when showing the shower stalk for the swim platform you really looked like Mr. Bean for a second. As usual, very grateful for your reviews…..

epistte says:

What is the better boat for a couple? This boat or the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 41DS?

Cozmic Knight says:

I just found the boat that caught my attention back in 1989. It’s the ‘Tayana’ ,… made in China, and just beautiful!
Made with lots of wood for that warm feeling.
Very cozy looking.
I’d like to see a review of this boat if/when possible.
Thanks

Deckie Deckie says:

I like it…..HOW MUCH??

Stephen Luta says:

Another great review. TY

Ken Cousins says:

Yehuda Sommer says:

I have sailed on A Bavaria Vision 42 last October in La Rochelle and enjoyed every single minute. The boat is very fast and easy to steer even on in strong wind. We had 27-30 knots upwind and a 3-4m waves. Boat felt very stable and safe. The interior is well designed and the build quality is fantastic. Boat is delivered with high quality equipment, such as Selden Mast, Volvo Engine, good sized winches, Dyform standing rigging  and Garmin electronics.
When compared to old Bavaria’s and to most of France rivals, I can say that Bavaria shipyard has gone a long and impressive way forward with this model.

Henrik Elton says:

Can you do Bavaria 37 cruiser?

Matthew Kent says:

I would love to own my own Bavaria 42!

Cozmic Knight says:

How often do these boats flip on the high seas if ever?
Plus, is anyone familiar with the sailboats made in Taiwan, and are shipped over in there separate pieces?
I cannot remember the name of the company. And they came in two sizes, 27′ and 47′ foot.
Cheers
Great presentation!

de0xyrib0se says:

Great reviews, keep’em coming.

Gerrit Sievert says:

how are residuals on those? must be massively lower after a year or two…kinda like buying a car new – or not. Anyway, I like Chris’s reviews . . . .

David Shafer says:

An in mast fuller is an automatic fail for me.

FreakyScaryChannel says:

Cheap Cabinetry…

Georgy Loginov says:

Bavaria 42 ? 34!

Alexandru Maioru says:

Nice boat at a fair price. Loved the little tricks that make your life happier. Looked smaller than she probably is, though.

ger coen says:

DID YOU DO THE REVIEW  OF THE 33 THE SAME DAY? SAW THE 42 MOORED JUST AHEAD TO PORT. NICE WORK

the moke says:

not showing off, nothing to prove, no patrinising over emphasis of words. just a good chap having a sail and giving the benefit of his experience. shame the way the worlds gone that it is so remarkable when people are normal.

A Deplorable Dragoon says:

I suppose they already did (the boat’s have been shown together along with the new 41 at HISWA in Amsterdam). We could see 37 – very nice boat, btw – a bit later, I believe.

Bernie Lueder says:

I delivered a Vision Bavaria to the Boat show in Victoria BC. and it was blowing
pretty good.
We felt save and the ease of handling made this a winner.

Evhenii Bukovsky says:

Good day , how much is this yacht ?

Karel Cuchal says:

Outstanding review.Thnx.

Anej Knez says:

I love Bavaria 42

thefireman285 says:

This guy does the best reviews. Have not seen him for quite some time now. He is the only one I found that actually gives an honest review and states positive and negative aspects. I suspect the builders complained and refused to have him review their boats, also withholding advertising money from YM. All the other so called “reviews” are simply BS advertisements.

cr1pt3d data says:

But why leaning to the side

Ernesto Londero says:

Excelent! Great boat.
Thanks

Michael Zietlow says:

Looks like a a nice liveaboard, but above decks and Sail plan look Qwerky. Wouldnt buy one but If it was being raffled away I would drop my ticket in.. =)

A Deplorable Dragoon says:

ebiros2 says:
